Growing up in the creative chaos of my parents' world — mom, an arts teacher with theatre design dreams, and dad, a pediatrician who spent all his free time on music and animations — felt like living in a constant brainstorming session. They were incredibly talented, each lost in their art, trying to make ends meet in '90s Russia.

As cool as it was, it also showed me the flip side — how hard it was for them to support each other amidst their struggles. It wasn't just about money being tight; it was about missing chances to lift each other up instead of getting tangled in fights. This struck a chord with me, illuminating the power of support. I developed a determination to build the support systems I saw were missing in this world.

The Evolution Journey

King Of Bongo: Unity Through Music

With King Of Bongo, funk and soul became more than music — they became powerful vehicles for connection and unity. Every performance was a living experiment in collaboration, where musicians and dancers wove their individual talents into something greater than themselves. It was music with a mission: to share light, joy, and a sense of togetherness.

What began as a duo quickly evolved into a 10-piece band, complete with a horn section, dazzling costumes, and synchronized dance moves straight out of the SoulTrain videos that first inspired us. Our shows weren't just concerts — they were immersive celebrations of rhythm and community.

I'll never forget the journey. From the nervous excitement of stepping onto a big stage for the first time to singing at festivals for tens of thousands of people, I found that the stage became the most comfortable, natural place in my life. It wasn't just about performing — it was about creating energy. The electricity of the crowd, the synergy of the band, the joy that radiated back and forth — it all came down to one profound truth: it's all about the energy we create together.

Through King Of Bongo, I learned that music isn't just sound — it's a bridge that connects hearts, transcends differences, and reminds us of the beauty of collective expression. And that realization remains a core part of my journey to this day.

ELK Academy: Unlocking Dreams

At ELK Academy, the first company I founded, we didn't just teach English — we unlocked dreams. For every student who walked through our doors, language wasn't the end goal; it was the key to a future filled with possibility. Whether they aspired to join a global corporation, launch a startup in Silicon Valley, or simply express their truest selves, we focused on the why behind the what. Each lesson became a stepping stone toward their vision, and every milestone was a moment to celebrate — together.

ELK stands for Education + Love = Knowledge, a formula I still believe in with all my heart. It wasn't just an acronym; it was the ethos that infused everything we did. From personalized teaching methods to fostering an environment of trust and encouragement, ELK became more than an academy — it was a laboratory for human development, where support and growth went hand in hand.

With Relevant, the second company I started, we asked a bold question: How can humanity stay relevant in a rapidly evolving, AI-driven world? Our answer: through action, connection, and purpose. Guided by our #dothings ethos, we transformed how global startups are built, combining new market entry strategies, hands-on expertise, and a deep commitment to community.

Relevant became a support system for entrepreneurs — the ones who shoulder the world's problems and solve them. We flipped the narrative from "You don't have what it takes" to "You just didn't have the right people around you." By fostering collaboration and championing practical learning through doing, we are helping founders thrive in new markets and beyond.

For me, Relevant is a lesson in true global collaboration: diving headfirst into challenges, learning from every success and failure, and using those insights to support a community of dreamers and doers.

It's a blind spot I'm keenly aware of and actively working on. Discovering talks behind my back is painful, and I'm committed to addressing and fixing these issues together.

Juggling roles as a founder, father, and traveler, I've been sometimes guilty of letting messages slip through the cracks. I'm doubling down on communication, carving out daily slots just to catch up, and leaning on my team more to make sure I'm present and responsive.

I know I can be a whirlwind of energy and ideas, sometimes coming off as if my perspective is the only one in the room. It's a misconception I'm eager to correct. My door is always open for you to tell me I'm wrong, and I'm committed to embracing feedback with an open heart and a keen mind, ready to grow from it.
